Metalmorphosis

Charlotte is a wonderful city filled with beautiful public art, and Metalmorphosis is a prime example of that. This intriguing sculpture was crafted by Czech artist David Černý, and at times looks like a large, mirrored head in a reflecting pool. I say at times because this sculpture is actually constantly changing. It is constructed out of 40 steel plates that can move independently from each other to create unique forms. This is a one-of-a-kind piece that must be seen to be believed.
